Based on practical cases, the package includes: — Techniques of map compilation: How to find, classify and prepare the maps you need for an environmental study (Rural or Urban). — Basic map preparation skills: How to prepare, out of your map library, the key maps that will base the findings and communication of your study. — Basic map design: Fundament of map design for analysis and report.

In a non academic orientation, this is a synthetic and practical approach to thematic mapping and its applications. Designed for developments actors and managers, this short course provides basic techniques and tips for quick and effective preparation of thematic maps to picture and communicate the data available for reports and presentations. It combines the minimum theoretical requisite with practical issues in a professional environment.
